Founder of Digg.com, Kevin Rose, said he has insider information on the unconfirmed iPhone. Rose said the iPhone will be released in January in 4GB and 8GB capacities. He also mentioned in his last podcast that the iPhone is extremely small and will have a slide-out keyboard and two-battery design—one for playing music and one for phone calls. The iPhone should work with all wireless carriers—both GSM and CDMA. Rose prices the iPhone models at $249 and $449. Rose could not confirm if OS X would be embedded in the iPhone.

If you have to ask how much, you can’t afford it anyway. Besides, it will be 75% less in a year anyway and probably a free upgrade by then if you are a current AT&T customer.

I saw that iPhone has Network GSM900 / GSM1800 / GSM1900 / GSM850, so if I buy it from US and then I want to use it on networks in europe like Orange, Vodafone, O2, or Cosmote can I use it ? I ask this beacuse I know that many phones come coded in one network or the other … so I really don’t want to waste $499 on something that i can’t use.

Nice to see all the requests from Kazakhstan.
An iphone that has been sim unlocked can be used in Kazakhstan. I know several people who use them here.
Remmy, you’re most likely getting that message because you bought an iPhone intended for one market with one carrier, and are attempting to use it on another carrier.
Unlocking the phone is certainly possible but not necessarily a task for the nontechnical or the faint of heart, as there is a small, but nonzero, risk of “bricking” the phone– that is, leaving it in a completely unusable state.
Then again, if you aren’t willing to sign up for a contract with Apple’s exclusive carrier– which is AT&T in the US– or you live in a market where there is no “official” carrier for the iPhone (like Kazakhstan) then you’ve either got to get the phone unlocked, or sell it to somebody else, because you won’t ever be able to use it otherwise.
