Autospies seems to think, and they say they have reliable sources, that BMW will be the first company to integrate the iPhone in cars. Gizmodo does not really believe it and said that Volkswagen could be the first automaker to do the iPhone car integration because the have a track record of working closely with Apple on their iPod products.
Either ways, the in-vehicle integration of the iPhone could bring interesting features. The visual voice-mail and Google maps accessibility are certainly among the interesting ones. That makes my think that the GPS feature will quickly become the most wanted feature for future iPhones.

WHile much less elegant, why couldn’t the iPhone simply be paired with a bluetooth GPS receiver? This could even be hidden away in your car, which is really the only place I would want navigation features anyway…
