A twenty minute guided tour of iPhone has been released today on Apple.com. I strongly suggest that you go there and take the time to watch that video. We’ve learned a lot about iPhone since it was announced last January, but user interface details were still a mystery. We learned a few interesting things from the guided tour.
First, we can now review Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel documents attached to emails as well as PDFs. Great news? You bet!
You can also rewind voicemail messages like you would do with a song. You can scroll through your contact using an alphabet on the right side of the screen. iPhone earphones has song skip control and call control integrated in the cord. And any standard IMAP/POP mail server can be configured with iPhone.
The more we learn about iPhone the more we like it!

Assuming this is meant to represent a *real* iPhone demonstration, how come the time sticks at 9:42 for the duration of the 20 minute video…
It clearly a fake ’simulation’ (see the line around the hand touching the screen?), built by media artists to hide the fact that the iPhone is as slow and stuttery as every other Smartphone I’ve seen.
Its a shame, but battery life is diometrically opposed to power and you can’t have one without the other. I just wish for once someone would give us the choice.
Another dream smashed…

Man i’ve never seen so many features on anything before, this thing truly is an all-in-one device. Apple has set the bar so high, I love the look of this thing.

The iPhone battery sucks, is a BIG step backwards. The little box is as stable as my first Pocket PC was. And, the worst, if you don’t touch the screen with your fingers, it doesn’t do anything, and that is terrible if you use for example the Sketches, you don’t have control about what you do, what you write…. terrible…
