UPDATED: Added the Youtube video. Thanks Evan!
Still 24 days to go before the real iPhone can stand-up and say “here I am”. But Chinese clone manufacturers didn’t want to wait any longer. iPhone knockoffs are readily available in southern China as we speak. Equinux were able to get their hands one of those.
They did the first iPhone clone review of all times. According to the pictures at least, the iPhone clone does look a lot like the real iPhone. But don’t worry; those fake iPhones don’t have the software that goes with the real thing.

Wow! This is hilarious. It’s interesting that the person who created the video seems to want to highlight how similar this is to the iPhone. Very very purposefully turned the phone over during its boot-up process and telltale Windows start-up sound. The required stylus is probably the most profound difference. After all the iPhone hype, I’m finding it hard to pick up my old Sony Cle. I just see the stylus and get mad.

LOL!!! That is funny, did anyone else notice that in the menu it said “tPhone” not “iPhone” at the bottom? And whats with the Microsoft Windows sounds? Isn’t that kind of weird to have on an Apple product, even if it is fake?

This is Paul and I am from Hong Kong. Actually this “Fake I Phone” was announced to be launched and built few months ago, just after Steve Jobs present the real iphone in January. I am pretty sure that if China launch this phone, Hong Kong will be the very first place to get it in street and definitely I will go to the shopping mall to see if this is available tomorrow.

hilarious: “looks, feels, and acts the part.. i am willing to sell though”
okay.. you won’t be willing to sell your iphone. this thing looks like cheeeeap and trashy. the point of the iphone is to not have a stylus. 150 bucks? get an LG Voyager. really the only similarity is the size and shape. this should be called rip off not knockoff
July 10th, 2008 at 10:28 pm
dude, you realise there are fakes out there that actually look identical to the real ones? I should know, i’m an exporter in Shenzhen.
