Of course, the iPhone could not be released without something to hold it on your desk or kitchen counter. And as a matter of fact, pictures of an iPhone dock have been released by Apple.
Unfortunately, no specifications and pricing information have been provided yet. We still have to see if a docking station will hold the headset just besides the iPhone and charge it at the same time. That would be great and would give Apple’s headset a major head start over other headset manufacturers.
According to Thinksecret though, Apple claims in the training documentation that most dock-connector iPod accessories will work with the iPhone.

With Apple having a patent on the docking station for the iPhone does this mean as consumers we will only be able to buy the docking station from Apple? and it will not be available from a range of suppliers like ipod docking stations?
