Its not that simple as signing up with the contract just to cancel… dont u guys think that they thought of that already. im sure your cancelation fee will be thru the roof.

The rumor I heard was that you will have to sign up for a plan in order to get the phone.

ATT will not offer just a straight purchase. Just sign up then cancel (then jailbreak then this then that…).

I do believe that you will be able to buy the new 3G iphone for $250.

Just sign the contract and then cancel it. Viola (or is it walla)…. Presto.

I’m sure this will anger the sales person who just spent all of this time with you answering your questions and getting you set up but…

You could buy it and not sign up for a plan, then you just have a wireless web browser.

I have used the phone for a couple of days now and the EDGE internet data speeds are excellent. WiFi works like a charm. The phone is simply the best. It’s everything it is hyped up to be and more.
Imagine not having to lug your laptop around anymore.
Richard, if you still want an iPhone, I would definitely be interested in talking to you about it.

If you plan to use the phone as a phone. The cheapest individual AT&T plan for phone use is 39.99, unless you have a group or family plan then it gets cheaper per person. I believe WIFI is free, so your internet will be free, only if you get a wifi connection, there is edge tech
for abbreviated version of internet, used alot to fetch emails. This service will cost an additional 19.99 a month.
