Apple and AT&T are promising an amazingly fast Internet experience with the iPhone, but this widget might help you browse the news even faster. iActu’s Widget can read the news from six American newspapers:

The New York Times, USA Today , The Washington Times, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Sun-Times and The Wall Street Journal are available right now.

The interface let you browse the headlines of all six papers and give you a snippet of each news. If you want to read more, the widget will take you to the newspaper’s website. Simple, but effective.

You can test the widget with FireFox or Safari. The navigation works very well and the iPhone touch screen will also work smoothly with it.

They haven’t added iPhonefreak to the list of news sources yet, but I’m sure this is just a matter of time!
