According to TImesOnline, O2 has beaten Vodafone to win the exclusive UK rights to offer the so precious iPhone. Rumor has it that iPhone would be released in the UK in time for Christmas.

Apparently, Apple still has ungoing negotiations with Carphone Warehouse for an agreement to sell the iPhone in their stores after a period of exclusivity with O2. No word yet on how long this exclusivity with O2 will be.

It does look like Apple is now seeking different operators for each European country. At least for Germany, France and the U.K..

If they’re not already signed up, T-Mobile seems to be the front runner for striking a deal with Apple. In France, rumors of a deal with Orange or France Telecom are still floating around. And Spain’s Telefonica has been also the subject of a rumor for an Spain iPhone release.
