Box.net, an online file manager service, has recently worked on an iPhone version of their interface. The new iPhone application now allows users to access files stored on Box.net, giving iPhone users the ability to store and access Word, Excel and PDF documents. Since it’s stored on Box.net, the iPhone’s fixed memory is no longer a limitation.
The first Gigabyte of storage is free and they have a 5 GB or 15 GB storage capability for $8 or $16 a month respectively.
Many of us are using a mail server as a file storage system, but this option could be really convenient because of a simpler file structure. It’s probably worth a try, at least for the free Gigabyte of storage you get.
