Steve Jobs announced, a few minutes ago, a completely revamped iPod line-up. A new iPod nano (yes the rumor was true), an iPod Classic and the iPod Touch.
A new nano is introduced. It’s called the "fatty":
- Full metal design
- Very thin
- 2-inch screen
- QVGA
- Enhanced User interface
- 3 games bundled with the player
- Cover flow
- Podcasts with G4’s Freestyle
- Battery: 24 hours of audio and 5 hours of video playback
- Available in 4Gb(silver only) and 8Gb(all the colors)
- 4GB has retail price of $149
- 8GB has a retail price of $199
- Available by the end of this week
The iPod becomes the iPod Classic:
- Full metal design
- Thinner the the previous version
- Available in 80GB and 160GB versions
- Battery: 40 hours of audio and 7 hours of video playback
- 80Gb has a retail price of $249
- 160Gb has a retail price of $349
