Just a quick note to let you know that iTunes Ringtones are officially available. Go ahead buy a song, choose your favorite part, and pay once more to have it as a ringtone.
iPhone ringtones for free? Well, there is an iPhone hack for this and iToner could also make your life easier for $15.

Things go fast in "Appleland". A MacRumors forum member named, Cleverboy, posted "simple" instructions on how to "convert" AAC music files to ringtones in iTunes 7.4. According to Cleverboy, the ringtones are only distinguished by the file extension. Rename your AAC file to a M4R file, sync to your iPhone and you’re done.
Why would want to pay 99 cents if you can get it for free?
What do you call this? A hole? Nice find Cleverboy!

UPDATE: The hack does not work with iTunes 7.4.1. Here’s a workaround that will still let you enjoy iPhone ringtones for free!
