After
reviewing the "i-volution Top SP", it will
be difficult to find a case that will compete with this top class product. Even
another Vaja case will have a hard time doing so. Nevertheless, I jumped right into
the next iPhone case review and tried the "i-volution TOP SP’s little brother, simply called, the "i-volution".
The case offers
the same construction quality and options as the TOP SP has. The iPhone can
easily be slipped in and out of the case and the iPhone look just great in it.
On the negative side, the
edges of the case are bulkier than the Top SP and that creates a discomfort when
typing on the iPhone screen. If you just use the phone, iPod or even the
browser, the edges won’t really disturb you that much. But when you have to
type on the keyboard, and especially if you’re using both hands, you might feel
a discomfort when trying to use the keyboard letters near the edges.
On the
other hand, the screen is always accessible, and if you frequently have to use the iPhone keyboard, this is plus compared with the "i-volution TOP SP".
Keep in mind that this case does not offer any type of screen
protection to the iPhone.
Controls
are accessible at all time and the iPhone can also be synced or charged without
taking it out of the case.
In
conclusion, do I like the i-volution? The answer is yes I like it for its
protectiveness and style, but for me, the "i-volution Top SP" is a better choice.
I guess it comes down to why and how you use the iPhone. People like Rob will probably prefer the i-volution without the TOP.
- Excellent
protection - All
controls are available at all time - Construction
quality is excellent - Very
solid - Screen
is accessible at all time
- The
edges create a discomfort when typing on the iPhone - No
screen protection - The
“back to menu” button is more difficult to operate because it is covered by the
case
