Extra long battery life is something one always strives for when it comes to portable devices like the iPhone. mStation is therefore targeting iPhone owners today with a new extended life battery pack called the mophie juice pack. It is priced at around $100 and should be out by mid-December.

mStation’s mophie juice pack slides onto the back of the iPhone and connects to the mobile’s dock connector. While attached it greatly extends the battery life of the iPhone, offering an additional 250 hours of stand by time, eight hours of talk time, six hours of Internet surfing, seven hours of video playback or 24 hours of audio playback. It also doubles as a cases">case for your phone, complete with comfort grip and non-slip finish.

The mophie juice pack has a four LED "charge status" indicator on the back and can be recharged itself with standard iPhone accessories such as the cable included with the phone. Battery technology within the juice pack, according to mStation, is designed to have the iPhone fully drain the pack’s battery first before moving on to use the phone’s internal one.
