iPhone Firmware 1.1.3 Leak: Customize Your iPhone Home Screen

It looks like someone is stealing Steve Jobs’ MacWorld keynote scoop with this one! That right guys, Andru from Gearlive has an iPhone upgraded to what would apparently be the iPhone firmware 1.1.3

So, what should we expect from the iPhone firmware 1.1.3? Here’s a list of what was discovered so far:

  • Home screen shuffling and reorganizing of the icons. This includes "multiple page" management
  • Multiple recipient SMS sending
  • A "Locate Me" feature on Google Maps (Probably using Cellphone tower triangulation).
  • Hybrid mode in Google Maps (Map and satellite views on the same image)
  • Safari bookmarks on the home screen

Have a look at the video to see how you will soon be able to move things around on your iPhone home page. Cool stuff!

Did I mention that, if you have an unlocked iPhone, you won’t be able to upgrade to 1.1.3? Giz has an interesting story on this. Check it out.

Release date? No one can tell right now…

That would be nice and all except for the fact that Nate jailbroke his phone. I’m sure everyone has noticed the “AT&T” replaced by “Nate” I’m not a believer in 1.1.3. Well, this one at least.

My iPhone has helped me to be more productive. Clearly it is more than a phone. I find that I use the Wi-Fi mode a great deal. I wish my Apple iPhone had one more app… VOIP. Then, I would have all the functionality I need.
