New iPhone FM Transmitters Debut from Belkin

Belkin is showcasing today at the Consumer Electronics Show some new FM transmitters for playing your iPhone music on your car stereo. These products – the TuneBase FM and TuneCast Auto – will also work with regular iPods.

The TuneBase FM ($100, April) and TuneCast Auto ($80, February) both make use of something Belkin calls ClearScan technology to "automatically seek out the best FM
frequency to play the music from your iPhone." The TuneBase is also designed to mount and power your iPhone in the car as it plays.

$100 for an fm transmitter? Seriously? I’ve tried a ton of Belkin fm transmitters. I really, really wanted them to work. But they don’t. Static. Static. Static. I had much better luck with one called RoadTrip and another by a company called Cygnett. Works great!

It works great if only i could answer my phone through my car speakers using the device. i hear my rigtones when someone is calling me but i cant hear them going through the speakers i have to answer it normally which i dont want to do.but all and all its pretty neat.
