Craigslist, used iPhone’s prove to be a bad mix for New Yorkers

New Yorkers be warned, if you are looking for a great deal on an iPhone, you may want to think twice about heading on over to Craigslist. More specifically, you should avoid heading to Flatbush, Brooklyn to purchase that great deal of a phone you found. Recently 12 people have done just that and have gotten robbed in the process, it turns out that a gang of four have been enticing would be iPhone buyers who were looking for a deal.

One particular listing had offered 10 iPhones for $2,000 and when the buyer showed up, he was not greeted with a bunch of phones, but the end of a gun.

Luckily these four have already been taken into custody, and charged with robbery, weapons possession and conspiracy to commit robbery. However, New Yorkers as well as anyone else — be warned and remember the ago-old saying, if it sounds too good to be true, it likely is.
