Basically there are two ways that you can get the MobileMe service for a discount.
Option one, the more expensive of the two would require you to pre-order your MobileMe service along with a new Mac purchase and would drop the price down to just $69. Which unless you were already planning a new Mac purchase, then this obviously would not really be a deal, so lets move on.
Option two, the more attractive option. Apple has already stated that current .Mac users will receive a free upgrade to MobileMe once it becomes available in mid-July, which means that if you purchase .Mac today you will get the new service.
Well, low and behold, Amazon currently has a deal on the .Mac service for just $69.99. Purchase that, wait a few weeks and you will be all set with the upgrade. Of course, keep in mind this lowered price would just be for the first year, after which it would go up to the regular $99.

Amazon always seems t have cheaper .mac service. I’ve bought through them for 2 years of renewals. This might change with the revamp, but to date there has always been a way of getting it for less than 99.
