iPhone early adopter warning, today is the last day to purchase AppleCare

iPhone early adopter warning, today is the last day to purchase AppleCare

Just in case you were amongst the first to grab the iPhone when it was released back on June 29, 2007, today is the last day of your one-year warranty, which means it is also the last day to add the AppleCare Protection Plan. The AppleCare Protection Plan retails for $69 and offers an additional year of warranty coverage, which would keep you covered until June 29, 2009.

Keep in mind that with the AppleCare plan, is transferable to a new owner, so should you decide later to sell your iPhone that will just come as an extra bonus for the new owner during the sale.

The AppleCare plan, however is not transferable to a new device, so if you purchase AppleCare for your current iPhone you would have to repurchase it should you decide to upgrade to the iPhone 3G.

It’s also important to point out that while I consider it a good investment, it does not cover accidental damage. With today being the last day, you may want to head on over the the Apple Store (link below) or head out to an Apple Retail store.
