The new firmware contains pretty much everything that it was rumored to (1,2) and then some.”We think the iPhone 2.0 software will be phenomenal and raise use to a whole new level. Included in the 2.0 firmware update (in no particular order):

• Contact Search (the ability to search through your contacts)
• iWork Document Support (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote)
• Bulk Delete/Move (Email)
• 3G Capabilities 
• Scientific Calculator (Tilt iPhone while in the Calculator App)
• Parental Controls (Enable/Disable Explicit Songs, Safari, YouTube, App Store, and iTunes)
• Ability to Save Images onto your iPhone’s HD
• Language Support for Japanese/Chinese
• The Application Store (App Store) (for downloading 3rd party apps)
• 3rd Party Application Support (Ties in with the App Store)
• GPS Enabled (GPS-A)
• Microsoft Exchange Support (push email, calendars, contacts, auto-discovery, global address lookup, remote wipe)
• MobileMe Integration

According to Steve Jobs, “It [2.0 firmware update] will be a free software update for all iPhone owners, and the price is down to $9.95 for iPod touch owners.”
