The latest in iPhone carrier news comes courtesy of Movistar in Spain. They have successfully landed a partnership deal with Apple, and similar to the other recent new carrier news, the details on this one are just as limited. Aside from a splash page and a brief announcement we are still left wondering the important items such as the launch date and pricing information. As of now Movistar has been the only carrier in Spain to announce availability, but there has not been any mention yet of exclusivity.
[UPDATE] It looks like just as quick as the iPhone page on the Movistar website went up, it has come back down. The website (which is linked below) http://www.iphone.movistar.es/index2.html no longer resolves to the correct page. Since there has not been any announcement about Movistar no longer carrying the iPhone, I would venture to guess they are just getting the pages set up and we had caught them a little earlier than they planned.
