Australian carrier Telstra has revealed their pricing for the iPhone 3G, which will be on their high speed Next G network. The pricing of the phones will vary depending on what plan the user chooses and although all the plan detail have not yet been announced, at first glance they seem pretty reasonable.
The iPhone 3G will be available on July 11, during that first wave of launches and will have monthly plans from as low as $30 AUS (around $28 US) per month.
The pricing of the phone will, like I mentioned, be dependent on the plan you choose. For example the lower priced $30 per month plan will have the 8GB model retailing for $279 AUS (around $269 US) and the 16GB model for $399 AUS (around $385 US).
The higher priced monthly plans will lower the initial pricing of the phone, for example the the 8GB model will be free at the $80 AUS (around $77 US) monthly plan. And customers who choose the top of the line plan will be able to get either the 8GB or 16GB model for free. Of course, assuming you had the option I am not sure why you would choose the 8GB model.
The associated plans will require a two-year agreement and all include unlimited free Wi-Fi at all Telstra hotspots.
