As we have already learned today, the iPhone 3G will first be launching on July 11 in 22 markets, but as it was stated during the Keynote it would be in the “biggest markets.” While we have already seen some of these either rumored or confirmed and some such as the US, UK and Canada are not much of surprise, here is the full initial group.
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK and the US.
Then to continue with the iPhone world domination, Apple will be adding an additional 48 countries later in the year. Unfortunately those remaining countries were not as fortunate to get a specific date and were left with a frustrating “later this year.” The second group includes:
Argentina, Botswana, Brazil, Cameroon, C African Republic, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, Equatorial Guinea, Estonia, Guatemala, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Greece, Honduras, Hungary, India, Ivory Coast, Jamaica, Jordan, Kenya, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Macau, Madagascar, Mali, Malta, Mauritius, Nicaragua, Niger, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Senegal, Singapore, Qatar, Slovakia, South Africa, Turkey and last but not least Uruguay.
Of course, keep checking back, as we can further confirm any additional launch dates for this second group of 48, we will be sure to let you know.

I don’t see my country (Nigeria)in the 2nd stage of the roll-out. I’m anxiously waiting for apple to address the situation, we have networks like Glo and celtel that can comfortably handle the requirements from Apple. Apple should please include us in that scheme. Thanks.
