The latest in faked 3G iPhone images

So, its the weekend before WWDC, and every is high on the excitement of the next-gen iPhone release. With that what else could we expect other than more rumors and more supposed real images. While I will not claim accuracy for, heck most look downright fake, we just could not be an iPhone blog without bringing you all the gory details. So with that here is the latest of just what the new iPhone is supposed to look like. Of course that would be if these were not faked.

The latest image is claiming to be what was inside one of those mysterious boxes that showed up at an Australian Apple Store. Sadly this unboxing is not in any way accurate. There are so many items that appear odd with this image, I hardly know where to begin, but here we go;

The iPhone itself looks, well, not even close to being real, the small circle on the top of the phone along with other areas look clearly worked on. The shadow from the CD and paperwork is pretty off compared to what you would expect, not to mention the "Subject To…" text on the paper seems quite a bit misaligned with the text and blue Apple logo on the top of the included paper.

I am just as excited about the impending release as anyone else, and am excited to see just what we will be given in terms of a new look and new features, but I cannot even give this fake a ‘good job’ or ‘nice try’ as its just a sad attempt.

    It looks like something I would receive from Amazon, not a carefully designed Apple box.

    Something to think about….
    Of all the “fake iphone” pics out there, why has Apple Legal demand that this picture be taken off the site it was originally posted at. Which in fact the site had been offline for some time after getting lots of traffic.
    Everyone is so quick to say it’s fake. If this was truly a fake then Apple and Steve Job would not of demanded that the picture be removed.
    Fake?…It may not be
    Just something to think about folks.

    If these were the display models for the showroom, isn’t it possible that they might not come in the fancy consumer packaging?
