Coming in like an FM Transmitter on steroids, USBfever has just announced their latest 9-in-1 device, the “iPhone/iPod Touch FM Transmitter with USB Charging Port and Remote” and it retails for $39.99.
The transmitter comes with the remote control that will allow you to switch the frequency of the station, as well as control the iPhone/iPod Touch with play, pause, next and previous. In addition to the FM transmitter functionality, it also charges your device when docked. The transmitter features an LCD display, has a line input for other devices and a timer to make sure your device will not remain on.
Officially the FM Transmitter offers 9-in-1 functions, which are:
- FM Transmitter
- USB Charging Port (for charging PDAs.
- PDA / iPhone / iPod Holder
- Remote
- LCD Display
- Charger to iPod & iPhone
- Timer (very simply, when power on)
- Line in input
- TDTT: (Two Dimensional Tuning Technology)
Lets just hope that it has found a good way, aside from switching your iPhone into airplane mode, to block any annoying interference coming from the phone. It also looks like this is designed for the size of the current first generation iPhone, however the product page did not mention it specifically.

Two questions. . .
1) Will this be functional with the new iPhone 3G?
2) Will this be functional in Japan (with station presets)?
