Brando has unveiled another seemingly useful product, their “external emergency backup power battery for your iPhone 2G/3G and iPod.” The external battery is charged via your regular iPhone (or iPod) USB cable and will allow you to give your device a quick boost wherever you are.

The battery features a test button to check the current power, an animated LED to indicate the charging process and has a 1000mAH capacity.

The nice part here is that this backup battery will work with either your new iPhone 3G or the original iPhone. Sadly though its far from being the nicest looking option, but for just $25.00 I guess you can not really expect quality design.

If nothing else, this will be a nice hold over for when you are caught with a dead battery, that is at least until Mophie makes their iPhone 3G external battery available.

In addition to the 1000mAH model for $25, they also have a slightly cheaper 800mAH model that retails for $22.
