Here I Am app for the iPhone, totally useful or useless?

Not counting the fact that there are two apps in the App Store that are both named “Here I Am” and from what I can tell they both seemingly do the same thing. However, they do have different icons at least, the one I downloaded and played with has the envelope with the red location tack.

Anyway, Here I Am is a simple free app that does just one thing, it lets you easily mark your location and then send an email off to your friends with your (almost) exact longitude and latitude. It will even let you know your current altitude, and it also tells you just how accurate that location is, letting you know how many meters you may be from that exact spot.

If you are sending the location email to an iPhone using friend they will be able to see the link directly within the Google Maps app.

Overall its neat app that will hopefully make it a little easier to give someone directions to your current location. A quick test gave me an accuracy of 191m, of course I am sitting indoors at my desk and live on the edge of BFE, so that may have something to do with the slightly poor accuracy.
