According to analysts, Apple is well prepared for the iPhone 3G to go on sale July 11, 2008, filling it’s storerooms with enough iPhone 3G’s to meet the inevitable demand.
Analyst Ben Reizes of Lehman Brothers had the following to say about Apple’s readiness for the 3G to go on sale: “iPhone build plans for June may be better than some had thought, which could mean that iPhone demand is met on July 11 with fewer shortages,” he says, maintaining that Apple will sell 3.6 million iPhone 3G devices in the summer and as much as 23 million for all of Apple’s fiscal 2009.”
The iPod Touch appears to be a different story, in light of Apple’s back-to-school promo, the iPod Touch has become a bit harder to get. According to AppleInsider, ”Lehman Brothers analyst Ben Reitzes observes that the 8GB iPod touch is now showing a small but significant delay of 1-2 business days for orders made from Apple’s online store, while chain retailer Best Buy has seen reduced supplies of 16GB models at its own locations.”
