The iPhone-Dev Team announced on Thursday that they had indeed cracked firmware version 2.0 for the iPhone. Since then there was a little skepticism about just how accurate their original video was, so they simply offered up more proof with this latest. The iPhone software was jailbroken using their PwnageTool, and the video demonstrates an iPhone running firmware version 2.0 with a working official App Store as well as Cydia. Check out the video .

While it seems to be a legitimate video, the Dev Team has not announced when they would release the PwnageTool for anyone to use.
While some are pretty much over the whole jailbreak scene and have since left it behind now that the official App Store is available, I still think it will still be a welcomed option. Personally I will jailbreak my new iPhone as soon as they release the tool. While I have the apps, I still miss the customization options such as themes that are readily available.
