Here is a really cool new product for the iPhone/iPod family. It is Macally’s Powerlink, a “3-in-1 Battery Pack/Data Sync/Flash Drive.” Set to sell for $49.99 at a yet to be announced time, this device will provide emergency power for your 30 pin connecting device, provide an easy way to sync to a USB port, and hold up to 2GB of storage. Pretty much everything you’ll ever need in an iPhone peripheral.
The image below shows a diagram of the device. Both ends have protective caps, there is a switch to turn the power supply on and off. The four LEDs indicate either data transfer or battery status.
There’s no word yet on the amount of time the device will hold a charge. In fact, no specs on the internal battery are available at all!
If it was a little cheaper, I’d definitely buy one of these! How about you?

Sounds to good to be true! I agree with you though, 50 bucks is bit too expensive.

As with anything….we all wish for a lower price, but I think for what you get it isn’t too bad of a price and I think I would definately buy one.
