Those iPhone users out there who were waiting for Zibri to release a new version of ZiPhone for the 2.0 firmware are going to have to just settle in and use the already released PwnageTool 2.0 on the Mac or WinPwn 2.0 for Windows.
According to a recent posting on Zibri’s blog, he will not be releasing ZiPhone 2.0, claiming that the;
“Dev team did an impressive team work this time and even if I don’t personally like the tool I see no other way to do things on 2.0.”
Of course it seems more so that he is just fed up with the current shape of the iPhone-dev team and the lack of credit he has received for what he has done to help in the process, because he also goes on to mention (about the 837 key) that:
“That is the key I dumped. Without it NO TOOL could ever be possible.”
Of course for those of us that rely on those ‘one click’ and simple UI based unlock programs he would also have to explain what an 837 key actually is, because while he makes it sound important, it most likely does not mean much to most who used his program in the past.
Still, its sad to see him not adding his work, although I did not use ZiPhone to jailbreak my original 1.1.4 iPhone, I had many friends who did, and they all had good results.

Zibri is the man pwnage tool is cool but its not real hacking its creating your own firware which is great but not real hacking. zibri on the other hand is real hacking taking what the iphone has changing code and making it fully unlocked. However like he states apple may have found all the gliches and backdoors so we may be left with pwnage hopefully you will find away zibri best of luck

Zibri is a self indulged wiener…he had a good multifunctional tool but he cannot and will not be making any more useful hacks…he is second rate and whines like a hormonal teenage bitch because he can’t do what people expect of him. He is more concerned about his gay-ass blog than his work anyways…its not about the “fame” zibri…no one cares how gay you are…they just want the damn hack that you said you would do

i think the ziphone software is the best unlocking method ever made, it is so much easier and the pwnage tool sucks, its so complicated and there are things that you need to download that you can hardly find. but if your going to whine about not getting credit then your a gay ass, you got your credit and now its dev-teams turn. share you dumbass.

There’s definitely bad blood here. Instead of nasty name calling could someone be kind enough to post more constructive material on how to resolve some major issues with the iPhone. As it am yet to find a solution on how to resolve the dreaded error 1011 as well as the touchscreen dead zone. My endless searching lead me to this page and I must admit am rather disgusted by the ugly exchange of words.

Strange way of expressing! I get the feeling that everyone on this page is hoping for a real hack for the 2.0 version! So, why all the bad words? It certainly will not motivate Zibri to take any actions, what so ever.
My 1.1.4 works still fine but I also hope that someone (Zibri) will come wth a real good hack. If not, I’d be disappointed. But real good hackers can’t so no to such a big challenge. Let us know when you’re done! Looking forward to download it!

This is for all you pinheads who continue to put Zibri and his work down, Did you ever stop and think that not everyone has the time or the knowledge for that matter to use some of the tools like pwnage have come to rely on his simple method of unlocking the iPhone and without it there would undoubtedly be thousands of iPhone paper weights out there!! Not to mention half of you couldn’t use the other methods without google and step by step instructions on how to use tools like pwnage etc. Give the guy a break, All he ever did was to help other people who needed a “simple” tool to unlock the phone and doesn’t charge a dime…So he want’s a little credit for his work, I for one think he deserves that and MORE!!Thank you Zibri and I hope this is simply another rumor and you will try to get us the 3G ziphone program…..Youve still got a shitload of fans out here.

Ziphone has been a blessing since I purchased the 1st gen iphone when it was first released. I just wish Ziphone could unlock 2.0 because there are apps which I need for work and its only avail on appstore which I cant put onto the 1.1.4 version. UGH.
I hope Ziphone developers will reconsider working on unlocking 2.0

It looks like some of you guys are not grateful at all. Zibri, as well as the dev-team are working so that we can enjoy our Iphone. Who can say that he/she is able to unlock a phone with only 1 click? (for free on top of that). who can say that is/she is able to unlock and jailbreak the firmware 2.x?
So be kind with those guys who are able to do it and make us proud to tell our friend that we have the FW 2.0 hacked on our Iphone.
Try to be creative without words like dumbass, dickhead, gay-ass.

so what’s the process for using WinPwn 2.0 for Windows? I currently have a unlocked, jailbroken 1.1.4. that I unlocked through Zibri. I really want to use the drum machine app that is only available thru iTunes and only works with 2.0. Will I need to upgrade to 2.0 and then use WinPwn 2.0 for Windows? And, how stable is WinPwn 2.0 for Windows? Am I going to have quirks? Also, what about my currents apps?

I love the ziphone app, im not computer literate or savvy, the one click program from Zibri and his team to unlock the iphone was amazing, and purely genius, i was able to unlock my 1st gen iphone but decided to upgrade to version 2.0.2 thinking it would still be unlock unfortunately it’s not, so my iphone is now sitting in it’s box and im back to my regular blackberry, its not zibri or his team fault we decided to download the 2.0.2 app so be easy on the guys and give them a break. Regardless i don’t care i can’t use my iphone ill just like to say much love to zibri and his team. Thanks guy.

please zibri try to make a ziphone for firmware 2.x i’ve been trying for months to jailbreak my iphone to get installer but now I realize that’s impossible (for now) but I really believe hoy can make this possible. Imagine achieve this: jailbreak and installer for iphone 3G in only one click as in last version of ziphone, you would be the master of masters on iphone jailbreaking, please, I believe in you, I know you can make it

The comment quality would have to be really good for it not to be recognized as spam. For the prices quoted, it may actually rise above the normal level of comment spam, especially if they’re hiring third-world spammers with some education.

ziphone was the simplest & easiest unlocking software..that we can’t deny..it’s what people demand ..a “user friendly” unlocking software. So till this day we still wishing& waiting for ziphone to come out with 2.0 unlocking software. I do like devteam unlock software but I gues we have to settle with there product for now
