A great little tip for making it a little quicker when typing out a domain name while in Mobile Safari. When you have the keyboard with the “.com” button its possible to get a little extra help for a few other domain extensions.
Simply hold down the “.com” button for a second and it will give you a pop-up with the additional domain extensions of .net, .edu and .org.
Of course, with all of the domain extensions that are now available this is certainly not going be able to help in every cases">case, especially with the soon to be released .me URL’s, but its a nice trick to have available and should prove useful at times.
In addition you can also hold down the period key on a keyboard with the @ sign, but without the .com button and receive the same pop-up as the above tip.
Though I do not have a 1.1.4 device to officially test this on, I believe it to be a new “feature” for firmware 2.0. If any readers are still on a 1.1.4 device then please leave a comment below.

I can confirm this does NOT work on 1.1.4.

This is news to me! Great tip. I always wished they had more than just a .com button.
