Quick Tip: Save images in Mobile Safari with firmware 2.0

With the announcement of firmware version 2.0 came the ability to save images that you find while browsing the web using Mobile Safari.

This is one of those little items that I was thrilled to hear was being added, however with all of the new apps to play with I had since forgotten it was available.

However, since the reminder that I received earlier today, I have used this several times and will most likely continue to use it long into the future.

So on with the tip, this one is really simple.

Just touch and hold on the image and you will then see a “Save Image” and “Cancel” button slide up from the bottom of the screen.

If you choose to save, just click the “Save Image” button and the image will then be stored in your Camera Roll.

While this little tip works great, it does not seem to always work for images that are linked, which you can see from the Google screenshot below.
