Well it looks as if the RuinediPhone petition may have done some good after all, because in a strange twist it seems that Rogers has responded and reacted to the complaints. Of course, in true Rogers fashion they have not made it entirely right.
Rogers has just announced they will be offering, albeit for a limited time, an additional data plan for the iPhone 3G. The new plan will offer users 6GB of monthly data and cost just $30 a month, it can be added on top of any in-market voice plan. Granted its not unlimited, but 6GB is truly a lot for a mobile phone.
Sadly I am not sure this is going to really be good enough to quite the masses, while this may help the early adopters, the plan is not going to be around for that long. This offer, as mentioned above is just for a limited time and will end on August 31.
So the question goes to you, potential Rogers customers. Is this going to be enough to make you happy, or will the fight continue until an unlimited plan is announced?
