We have seen many people complaining about the yellowish tint on the new iPhone 3G’s, and personally it was hard to deal with. Apple later released a statement explaining just why this was done and that it was indeed intentional.
“the screen’s color temperature has been purposely altered on the new iPhone to produce warmer, more natural tones, sharper images, and deeper blacks. The company says that 1st gen iPhone screens appeared colder and less defined, and they made some adjustments for the new models.”
The good news is that you can still have it corrected and its a relatively simple fix. This fix was first reported by arstechnica, but it seems that if you connect your iPhone to your computer and use the “Restore” function within iTunes you will be restored to firmware version 2.0 5A347 instead of the pre-loaded firmware version 2.0 5A345
While I am not sure, how or why doing a restore via iTunes will correct this and it was not pushed as a software update, I can confirm that I am now running firmware version 2.0 5A347 and I no longer have that yellow look.
So if the yellow is still bugging you, just do a quick restore in iTunes and you should be back to a “normal” blueish look that we iPhone users have become used to.

That seems to be the only problem people are having. I’m having a problem where my apps keep shutting off on me and sometimes they wont work at all. I click on them and it looks like its going to open the apps and then it just returns to the home page. Are any other people having these problems??? If so do you think you might know someone who knows whats going on. I think I might need to get it replaced. I have about 30 apps on my phone.
