AT&T adds two new international iPhone data plans

AT&T has just announced the availability of two new international plans designed for the iPhone, both of which will be up for grabs beginning August 27.

The new plans, well, they are still expensive but at the same time they will end up saving you quite a bit should you travel and not be able to go without your iPhone.

The first plans offers 100MB of data transfer for $119.99 and the second doubles the amount up to 200MB for $199.99. These new plans join the already existing 20 and 50MB options and are valid in 67 countries. All of the international data plans can also be added on an as needed basis, and no extra agreement is required.

AT&T was also kind enough to point out that under normal rates 2MB of data would normally set users back $40 at the pay-per-use rate of $0.0195 per kilobyte. In addition they recommend users turn off automatic email checks, set the data roaming switch to off and reset the usage tracker to zero before you leave.
