AT&T Puts iPhone on Business Site

Seems as though even AT&T is seeing the business possibilities of the iPhone. You can now buy a new 3G from the AT&T Premiere Business web site. No waiting in line at the Apple Store or AT&T store.

You need to have a Premier business account with AT&T. That will allow you access to online ordering of an iPhone: apparently only the three varieties of the 3G. Whether or not you’ll actually get one delivered promptly is something you’ll have to order one to find out. The price is the usual the usual $199 / $299.

It may be some surprise that Apple is making the iPhone more available when it seems to be in such short supply, but added to the roll-out at Best Buy September 7th, you might get the impression they have solved some of the production line backlog issues.

Whether Best Buy or AT&T - or for that matter the online Apple store – will let non-business users order online any time soon remains to be seen.
