Glowing Apple logo mod for 2G iPhone [Video]

A group of Russian iPhone modders recently managed to replace the chrome Apple logo on the back of the original iPhone with a glowing one.

This glowing Apple logo is much like the one fitted to the back of MacBooks and MacBook Pros.

While it may seem as if a mod like this would do a number on the battery, it is reported that it only has a minimal effect.

With the iPhone on the market for over a year now, I hope we can expect to see more iPhone modifications like this one in the near-future.

Unfortunately, the creators of this mod did not release any instructions as to how to do this, darn!

I guess if this modification stirs up enough iPhone users who want to do the same thing to their iPhones, then maybe, just maybe we’ll see some form of directions (even if not from the original modders.)

Judging by the fact that this mod completely replaces the chrome Apple logo, it must involve opening up your iPhone, removing the chrome logo, and then installing a custom light/power: not an easy task for your everyday iPhone user (myself included!)
