Personally I am holding out for the Mophie juice pack to take care of my iPhone 3G battery shortcomings, but this latest option has something nice going for it. The solar powered gadget offers the ability to charge and protect your iPhone 3G at the same time.
The flip style charger has a high capacity 1500mAh battery which will let you charge from a solar source and store the power for when your phone needs it most.
The charger features a removable belt clip, and also has a miniUSB cable that will allow you to charge it from a PC when a good solar source is not available. The device itself can pick up a charge in just about 3 hours.
The solar powered iPhone 3G charger will be available in black or white and is set to begin shipping in mid-August, it will retail for £27.95 (around $55 US).

Good for road warriors and people who generally spend a lot of time outside.
Playing football? Leave it on the grass.
Driving about? Leave it on your dashboard.
Can leave it on your desk, next to your sun lounger, inside the house by your window, etc.
However there is the security risk of having your iPhone out of your pocket too much. Remember if you are waving it about too much you wont be a happy owner of an iPhone for very long…

You sad little yankees, move to the south where the sun shines all the time and we don’t have to worry about people stealing things. BTW, we have real football so you will actually be in the sun a little more allowing your iphone to charge.

good stuff
The iPhone 3G are selling 2x as fast as the original and lines are constantly forming outside of Apple stores and other carriers.
It’s a great time to personalize your iPhone by choosing any accessories that suit your personality and lifestyle. Apple Stores and most other consumer electronics specialty shops carry these cases. Do a careful search at an online auction site, such as eBay, and you may find them there.
Um… check out these iPhone 3G Accessories, I just discover this, maybe you will also like it
