Remember those random images that appeared on an iPhone recently, those that featured the posing worker from the Foxconn factory. Well it seems that she will not be losing her job anytime soon, at least not for the images. It turns out that those images were “accidentally” left on the iPhone and they were intended as nothing more than test photos. According to a report in a Chinese newspaper, a rep from the Foxconn factory stated that “she is definitely not fired.”
Sounds like great news, I just wish that had been my phone, as its almost like a special edition. I suppose it would be strange to buy a new phone and have a personal image already on it, but at the same time it almost makes it seem like there was a little more care in the manufacturing of that particular phone.
While the factory worker has not been identified, it was confirmed that she was working at the factory in Shenzhen, which is in southern China. She also has gotten some attention in the form of her own “fan” site, which can be found at iPhonegirl.net.

I am really glad I left US at really a young age. Or else I would be a real bainwashed American who think that US won the olympics 2008 with total medal count when the rest of the world (even US, before 2008) ranked gold medal count. I would be coming up with excuseS to cover the fact that I had lesser Gold medal count. I would be brainwashed into thinking what CNN, FOX report are all true but actually they lie and photoshop photos into brainwashing the Americans. But they had it all wrong. Glad I have escaped!

- first, thanks for not saying that chinese are DUMB F***ERS, i don’t know why you think you have the right to talk about chinese people like that.
- second, i don’t see the connection between the iphone worker and the earthquake, why would you talk about this here?
- third, shenzen is in a very poor province and of course, houses built in 1950 didn’t make it. let’s put an earthquake in your country and let’s see if the 1950 buildings will make it. i bet it will be a bigger mess than it was in china as chinese have always been in advance on civil engineering, think relatively dude… seriously…
