Despite earlier reports that HSBC bank was considering ditching their BlackBerries in favor of the iPhone, they are now stating they will not be purchasing any new iPhones.
Although the initial statement was that they were “reviewing iPhones from a HSBC Group perspective” it seemed that HSBC was seriously considering a purchase, however the latest news is just the opposite.
“There are no current plans to replace the BlackBerry,” HSBC spokesman Donal McCarthy said Tuesday from the bank’s headquarters in London.”It is the business standard,”
It seems like the iPhone will have to wait just a little bit longer to make a big corporate leap, although HSBC seems to want to stick with the “standard” its just a matter of time before another company comes along that is more willing to go against what everyone else does.
