Yesterday when Apple pulled the $999.99 application from the iTunes App Store dubbed "I’m Rich," they did it for a reason. (See article )
As Robert Nelson pointed out, the "$999.99" looks deceptively like "9.99," unfortunately some poor guy clicked the link thinking it was a $9.99 application and wound up $1000 poorer than he had been only seconds before.
I’ll let this image do all the talking.
While there is a very good possibility that this image was doctored, I still feel bad for anyone who was tricked into spending $1000 on a single application. I just hope he manages to get his money refunded!
We can learn one very valuable lesson from this guy’s mishap: make sure you always check the price of items you plan to buy online!

Why do WE have to police the app store? Just once i want to say “last notice im sending this to a collection .” Im not happy with this app fix it or face going to jail!!! yea baby!!!Oh and you still need to refund me and it cost $5.00 bucks for everyday you are late, ha!

Seems like we should let Darwin continue to monitor the App Store. Sounds to me like he was doing a fine job. Utilize some IQ, people–or the world will eat you.

I’m lucky that we have iTunes gift cards so I don’t need a creditcard and can’t make that mistake that easly
