In short: guy actually buys $999.99 “I’m Rich” application

Yesterday when Apple pulled the $999.99 application from the iTunes App Store dubbed "I’m Rich," they did it for a reason. (See article )

As Robert Nelson pointed out, the "$999.99" looks deceptively like "9.99," unfortunately some poor guy clicked the link thinking it was a $9.99 application and wound up $1000 poorer than he had been only seconds before.

I’ll let this image do all the talking.

While there is a very good possibility that this image was doctored, I still feel bad for anyone who was tricked into spending $1000 on a single application. I just hope he manages to get his money refunded!

We can learn one very valuable lesson from this guy’s mishap: make sure you always check the price of items you plan to buy online!

Seems like we should let Darwin continue to monitor the App Store. Sounds to me like he was doing a fine job. Utilize some IQ, people–or the world will eat you.
