With a little hope, it seems that Apple may finally be preparing to offer the ability to sync your Mail Notes with your iPhone or iPod Touch. A recently discovered clue showed what appears to be a new dialog box within the Mail app, and the prompt read;
“Changing the style or formatting requires that this note be converted to rich text format. Rich text notes may not be editable on iPhone and other devices.”
While this is far from an official announcement, and should be taken as nothing more than a rumor, it does lead one to believe that users will soon be able to sync their notes. The dialog box appeared when the user created a new note and then hit “command + b” which most people would expect to be a shortcut for bold text.
Many had hoped and expected this feature to come along with firmware 2.0, but as we all know it was not included. Could this possibly be a feature addition that we will see with firmware 2.1? While nothing major, its still something to hope for, it would certainly make the Notes app on the iPhone much more useful.
