NetShare, the wonderful tethering app that has made two very brief appearances in the App Store may hopefully soon be making its return.
Nullriver has recently posted an update on their website, blaming the lack of initial communication not on Apple, but “automated e-mail systems being employed on both ends, which resulted in e-mails being lost in transit.”
Now that they have gotten the email situation straightened out, they have confirmed they are indeed working with Apple to hopefully get NetShare back into the App Store.
Of course, while this is good news, it still does not explain the mystery as to why it has come and gone two times now. Hopefully the third time will be the charm.
More importantly lets hope that when (if) it comes back it is with the blessing of the carriers, because AT&T for one does not allow the device to be tethered. So technically having the app would not do you any good, that is unless you were willing to risk your contract.

“So technically having the app would not do you any good, that is unless you were willing to risk your contract.”
I used to work for at&t, and this is quite accurate.
You’re wouldn’t be risking your contract (they’ll do anything to keep you IN one). What you’re risking is being charged per kilobyte for excessive usage.

“…and this ISN’T quite accurate.”
