You may recall around a week ago we reported on a story (link) about how Orange apparently hired actors to create more of a “buzz” for the Polish iPhone 3G launch.
Orange has responded to these accusations by denying any claims they had previously made.
“As part of the excitement around the launch of the iPhone, some of our team have been joining customers outside our shops. Their aim is to welcome people to the Orange shop, share in their excitement and give information about Orange tariffs,” wrote a France Telecom Group spokeswoman.
That quote is just downright shameful. Sorry Orange, but I’m going to have to call your bluff. It would seem as if Orange is trying to cover up this entire matter flat out ignoring their previous statement.
“We have these fake queues at front of 20 stores around the country to drum up interest in the iPhone,” a spokesman said.
Seems a bit fishy if you ask me, stay tuned with iPhoneFreak for the latest in this story! (We’ll get to the bottom of this.)
