Just yesterday we saw the promise from the DevTeam claiming that they were planning to release Pwnage Tool 2.0.2 “within the next few hours.” Sadly that did not happen, and a quick check of their site offers a little bit of some good news and some bad news.
Since I am the get it out of the way kind of guy, I will give you the bad news first, then move on to the good stuff. The DevTeam has announced that their will be a delay in the release of the updated software and they have not specified any new time frame other than “sometime” Friday, of course they are not making any promises.
And now that the bad news it out of the way, lets move on to the good stuff. The reason for the delay is because the RiPDev team, those responsible for Installer 4 have announced that they are just about ready with a release. The DevTeam has decided to hold off with 2.0.2 so they will be able to include Installer 4 at the same time, as opposed to having two new versions back to back.
Of course, in addition to Installer 4, the release will still offer the updated version of Cydia. As usual, you can expect us to keep you informed when they make it available.
