Qik has just announced that they have come out of private beta, but it seems that they may be a little late to the party. You see, Apple does not currently allow official apps that offer live video streaming, which means that Qik will not be making its way into the App Store anytime soon.
That means in order to take advantage of Qik for the iPhone, you would have to have a jailbroken model, which by itself is not that much of an issue thanks to tools like Pwnage. However Qik also requires firmware version 1.1.4, which is something that plenty of iPhone users have since upgraded past.
Qik has also announced they are working on a version of their software for firmware 2.0 and they hope to make it available soon, but have not offered any release time frame.
Assuming you are still holding strong with firmware version 1.1.4 and wanted to give Qik a try, you can sign up on their website.
