QuickPwn gets updated, adds support for firmware 2.0.2

QuickPwn, the new jailbreaking tool courtesy of the unofficial iPhone DevTeam has received its first update, and although I would consider it a welcomed update its still not fully ready to lose its beta tag.

So the update and perhaps most important is the fact is that it now offers support for iPhone firmware 2.0.2, which means you can run the latest iPhone firmware and still have it jailbroken.

In addition to the 2.0.2 support, the DevTeam has also added support for firmware 2.0, so it will now work with any 2.0 or later firmware.

Finally it has also been wrapped in a fancy GUI, which should make it more appealing for users. Sadly we are still waiting on the Mac version, which we are not expecting anytime soon, according to the DevTeam they are “working on a graphical Mac OS X version of QuickPwn and also adding some nice little tweaks to the next release of PwnageTool.” However they did go on to mention to not “hold your breath” because a “release is not imminent.”

Basically it seems that if you are a Mac user and want a jailbroken iPhone they you should hold off a little longer on updating to firmware version 2.0.2.
