Yet another application casualty has come, however this time it comes with a little good news and bad news. Lets start with the bad, just to get it over and out of the way. Tris, the free Tetris clone is being pulled from the App Store due to copyright issues.
The good news is that users will still be able to get it, for a little while anyway. The developer has announced that it will not be pulled until Wednesday August 27, so better get it while you still can.
For those that have not played Tris, I can say that its a great game. First off its free and I love free, and second, well Tetris is just a fun game to kill some time with.
Although there are hopes to eventually bring it back, the developer has stated that because he is just a “college student, and not an affluent one” that he does not “have the time, energy, or resources to fight this battle right now.”
So with that the users are losing. At least we still have a few days to grab it, better hurry. Of course I cannot help but think that this is just another reason of why the jailbreaking process will remain viable and active.

There are Tetris clones everywhere. I like the ones you can play from your internet browser because they are convenient. Some Tetris games have high scores too. One of my favorites is http://originalnintendo.net/home/2008/10/play-tetris-style-game-n-blox-by-neave.html

By far the Best Free Tetris is Twinflix
Which I think is the best puzzle game ever made at the moment http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESoKAUDjqTY
It has wonderful look and music, facebook support and online highscores, and moreover it's a free clone of tetris! http://itunes.apple.com/en/app/twinflix-one/id404...
It is also integrated with Facebook to share online your best highscores!
