i have a first generation iphone. its unlocked with cydia i believe. if i upgrade it to 3.1.3 then will i lose all of my data. i would just like to know.

I have a problem with my 2.0.2 iPhone…
I would really like the new 3.1.2 software, so can I just update it with iTunes and then jailbreak it??

I just updated my iphone 3g to 3.0 and now i think its locked?
how do i unlock it? Could an already unlocked phone get locked again? And can we unlock that phone again if it gets locked?

ok my iphone3g is jailbroken… I have tons of apps.. I wanna upgrade to the newest.. And the jailbreak the newest… Now does this mean all my apps I have for my jailbroken phone be lost? Or will they automatically be back on the phone as soon as I jailbreak the new software?

Listen to EVERYONE out there who is questioning the update. IF YOU UPDATE AN UNLOCKED IPHONE TO ANY HIGHER OR LOWER FIRMWARE IT WILL LOCK THE PHONE BACK UP, I DONT CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS!!. ZiPhone will only unlock anything lower then, or a 1.1.4 firmware. There are Pwnage tools out there that will unlock iphones firmwares, you just have to search for that PWNage tool for the FIRMWARE THAT IS INSTALLED ON YOUR iPHONE! Find that PWNage tool, and follow directions. There will be mirrored downloads in each pwnage. two, to be exact. Just download the Mirror 1. The second one is a back up. Mainly used in out of country PWNage. Listen to my directions, and you WILL have NOOOO problem maintaining your iphone. Even when it gets updated to 4.0 if Apple ever decides to make that firmware. Dev team has worked very hard in supplying FREE hacking downloads! USE the internet people, there are PLENTY of PWNage tools out there! GOOGLE IT!

I am new to all of this and have not purchased an iPhone…..yet. Hopefully I am understanding this correctly. If the iphone is unlocked and jailbroken at the time of the firmware update, then your iphone will continue to work, but will no longer be jailbroken, correct? And if the iphone isn’t jailbroken at all, and only unlocked then I’m guessing that nothing will happen to it at all, correct? Any help is much appreciated!

Hi i have an iphone 3g and i unlock it using a chip that goes underneath the sim card and i use it with a vodafone sim card now.if i updated using itunes and update it to 2.0.2 software what happens to my iphone(now i have 2.0.1 software)?
I probably have problems?And if yes what problems should i have?
Please i need some surious help here!!!
