App Store apps to get while you still can
September 19, 2008 | Robert Nelson
A few more apps are soon going to be pulled from the App Store and the reason once again is due to copyright infringement issues. The most recent apps that are affected are BreakClassic Lite, BreakClassic, BreakTouch 3D, SuperPong and 3D Vector Pong.
The complaints are coming courtesy of the legal team from Atari and it seems like they are all in a similar situation. Atari has simply asked for them to be removed, and as these are student developers it seems easier to just give in as they are not financially able to take this any further.
This is certainly not the first time we have seen an app being pulled because of copyright infringements, if you remember we also saw Tris get pulled from the App Store late last month.
Of the group that is currently scheduled to be removed from the App Store, it looks like one is making an effort to remain. That app is 3D Vector Pong from Gyrocade. The developer is making an attempt to have the app renamed to 3D Vector Ball, but as of now there has not been any mention of whether this will work.
Bottom line, if you are interested in any of these games, you may want to grab them now.

SO Will itunes let you keep them? or are they going to be back on your iphone after you sync…? I think not sorry what do you think?
While I cannot say for certain, I would think that its pretty safe to think they will remain. I already have a few apps that were since pulled from the App Store and mine have remained on my iPhone after numerous syncs and even a restore.
After my restore I lost my centipede app. Is there another way of getting it. Will the apps return to the App Store.
